The Devil's Croutons


5 tbsp butter, melted
4 tsp Boat Dust
1 package oyster crackers


preheat oven to 325.
Add crackers to a large mixing bowl.  Mix boat dust into melted butter, then pour mixture over crackers and toss thoroughly with a spatula.  Place on a parchment lined tray and bake 15-20 minutes, until crackers have browned ever-so-slightly. 
You can use these as salad croutons, as hyped-up soup crackers, or pummel them in a food processor and use for everything from topping mac and cheese to crab cakes to chicken cutlets. 


Hot-as-Hell Deviled Croutons - add tsp ground cayenne or hot chili flakes to melted butter and Boat Dust.   
Cool-Ranch Deviled Croutons - after mixing crackers and flavored butter, sprinkle 2 Tbsp powdered buttermilk over mixture, then bake.  
Cheesus Cripes Deviled Croutons - toss Boat-Dusted buttered crackers with finely grated Parmesan or Romano cheese
